Down East Doormats are hand woven by Mainers in their homes. Made from reclaimed lobster trap float-rope, each one is the individual expression of a weaver’s talent, choice of color combinations and life in the sea. This combination of factors produces a mat with slightly varying dimensions and subtle differences in rope color and texture. Colors portrayed in print or on a computer screen may vary. If you are uncertain about the colors or texture, please request rope samples.
